Dr Gurveen Ranger

Clinical Psychologist, Lead of Adult & Corporate Services

I believe in collaborative working to help make sense of difficult experiences and emotions, in order to invite change and live a more value driven and meaningful life.

Dr Gurveen Ranger is a Clinical Psychologist from the UK and have over 10 years’ experience working in mental health across a variety of settings. She specializes in working with adults aged 18+ from diverse backgrounds and in providing support for a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties.

Dr Gurveen recognizes that for so many of us, life can be challenging – particularly in the current climate; and she appreciates it can often be difficult to reach out for support. Her aim is to create a safe and confidential space to help people make sense what might be going on and work together to develop a shared understanding of the problem, which then guides towards developing the goals for therapy and a suitable personalized treatment plans.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Gurveen is trained to use a range of evidence-based individual and group therapy frameworks, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT); and other approaches such as Schema Therapy which looks more closely at earlier life experiences and their links to the present. Trauma informed ways of working are often a key theme to her work, recognizing the significant impact our experiences can have on our wellbeing.

Dr Gurveen is passionate about psychology and how our minds work, alongside reducing the stigma that often comes with talking about mental health. She has developed resources and delivered training to help disseminate psychological thinking and principles for wellbeing more broadly.
