A Reflective and Supportive Space for Adults Affected by Events in the Region.  

What is the purpose of the group? 

As adults, we are managing the labour of our daily lives amid tragic events in the region. Sharing experiences and building strategies within a non-judgemental space helps us to create balance between the emotional and psychological impact of these events and our personal and professional roles and responsibilities. Join us every 3rd Wednesday of the month for a reflective and supportive session facilitated by 

To Focus On:  

  • Instability and uncertainty about outcomes 
  • Identity formation  
  • Moral Injury 
  • Personal and Professional Emotional Labour- managing thoughts and emotions during interactions in your work and personal lives.  
  • Mourning, Grief, and Loss, including loss of life, stability, safety, identity, humanity… 
  • Managing social media use 
  • Managing Guilt 
  • Skills and Strategies 

Facilitators

The group will be facilitated by Dr. Wafa Saoud (Canada – UAE), clinical psychologist, child, adolescent, families & psychoeducational specialist and Hiba Salem (Lebanon – UAE), psychologist, adult, families, psycho-oncology & palliative psychology specialist.
