Lina's Journey

Lina, a 15-year-old high school student, was experiencing overwhelming anxiety and stress as she approached her final exams. Despite her diligent studying and preparation, she found herself consumed with worry about performing poorly and disappointing her parents and teachers. Her anxiety manifested in physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, and difficulty sleeping, which further exacerbated her distress.

Recognizing the impact of Lina's exam anxiety on her well-being and academic performance, her parents sought psychological support for her at Sage Clinics. During the initial consultation, Lina expressed her feelings of fear, self-doubt, and inadequacy regarding her upcoming exams. She described a constant sense of pressure to excel academically and a fear of failure that seemed insurmountable.

The therapist at Sage Clinics conducted a comprehensive assessment of Lina's exam anxiety, including exploring its triggers, underlying beliefs, and coping mechanisms. They identified Lina's perfectionistic tendencies and tendency to catastrophize potential outcomes as contributing factors to her anxiety.
